Episode 3 focuses on “More Than Timekeepers: Percussive Voices (part 1).” Part 1 because I recognize this is a theme that warrants more time and attention than a one hour show can cover. So this is the first installment of what will likely be an occasional but recurring theme. I will be featuring selections that turn the spotlight on a few drummers whose style or approach is singular, memorable, and whose sphere of influence has been felt over the decades and informed how the drums are played and interpreted.
